Hello! I’m Andrea and I’ve lived in Faringdon for most of the last 21 years. After an ill-advised few years away, I moved back here FollyFest weekend 2022, and was immediately reminded what a fantastic little town this is!

Finding myself with some time on my hands and ‘between rescue dogs’ I joined the FollyFest Committee for the first time in 2026 and am getting an idea of how much hard work this fantastic team put in. Throughout the weekend, you’ll mostly find me around the FollyFest stall (or else lending a hand wherever I’m needed)!

Carlos has been a resident in Faringdon for several years. Formerly of the RAF, he has been an active musician with local rock bands and is well at home on stage.

Carlos is Stage Manager for FollyFest and will be responsible for all activities on the two live band stages of the event and ensuring the musicians and guests remain safe in and around the stage area.

I feel very fortunate to be on my first year in the organising and running of this great festival!  The last two years I have MC’d on the stables stage which has been a great pleasure, and I’m excited to do the same this year for the full weekend this time. I’ve helped with sourcing some of the talented MCs that will be working all weekend and help with the care of the many talented artists in the stables stage.  I am also DJing in the courtyard on Sunday with Los Amigos.

I am currently a Teaching Assistant but going on to drama school in 2027. The day after FollyFest has finished, I will be performing in Macbeth at the Oxford Castle for two weeks.

I’m very excited to once again be a part of the fantastic festival that is FollyFest. I hope you have as great a time as I will.

I’ve lived in Faringdon since 1991 (OMG!) and have been involved in the local music scene since 1996 (double OMG!). I have booked the bands/singers for the Main Stage and Crown Stables Stage for the last couple of years with the help of a small team of local people (a big thanks to them). I was involved back in 2014 in the same role.

Thank you all for the feedback last year and keep this coming as we all, in this amazing organising team, just want to make this festival as good as we can. My name is Gerry and I have lived in Faringdon for 15 years.  I was one of the brave few (there were four of us back then!) on the committee of the very first FollyFest in 2013. We were super proud of what we achieved and I am delighted that the festival has grown into the fantastic event that we all enjoy today.

I took a break from the committee between 2017 and 2022, and I am now always excited to be part of the Fringe team with Kirsty.  Our mission is to offer a full and varied schedule of events for all ages and all tastes.

I have lived in Faringdon since 1989, and this is my second stint as a FollyFest Committee member having been secretary in 2016 and 2017 when I also had my Coffee Van at the Festival. I took a break from the committee while running Stay Grounded Coffee and Store but still felt very involved and loved the fun atmosphere of FollyFest weekends even when the weather wasn’t kind. In fact, Stay Grounded became a refuge from the weather for many!

I have been back on the Committee since FollyFest 2022 organising stalls for 3 years and adding Treasurer to my tasks for 1 year. These roles have now been passed on and I am Chair and looking forward to yet another incredible FollyFest weekend.

I moved to Faringdon in 2013 and FollyFest has always been the highlight of my year.  My background is media – I was a film and studio director for the BBC before having my own company offering videos, graphics and website design.

My real passion however is photography and I’m excited to be part of the team capturing all that FollyFest has to offer.  It promises to be another fantastic weekend!

As treasurer I look after the money side of things for our community festival – keeping track of budgets, making sure bills get paid, and helping us stretch every penny of funds raised to support local music, art, and creativity. I work with a great team to make sure the festival runs smoothly and is fun, and full of local talent.

A volunteer run, free festival, in a town the size of Faringdon is a rare and wonderful thing. I am proud to have been associated with FollyFest for many years, and to have seen it grow and develop in the way it has, first as the stalls manager, and then previously as chair.  Each year, the thousands of hours of practice and hundreds of hours of volunteering make FollyFest the best free festival this side of Radcot.  As long as the community spirit that runs our town continues to be so strong, the future of FollyFest will be safe.  We need people new to the town to stand up and be counted – as performers, as instructors, as organising committee members.

As the Event Control Centre (ECC) Coordinator – or “Control” to everyone on our radio net – I serve as the central nervous system for the FollyFest operation.  The ECC is based in The Pump House on the Market Square.

Myself and the team around me including our Chief Marshall and all the volunteers monitor our event space, the surrounding traffic management and road closure points, all real-time communications between team members, and direct security, safety, and operational teams to wherever they are needed to ensure FollyFest runs smoothly from start to finish.

Hi, I’m Kirsty! By day I work at Perry Bishop Estate Agents, and in my spare time I’m happiest outdoors – whether that’s cycling, running or paddle boarding. I’m also a proud sausage dog owner to Slinky, who definitely thinks he’s in charge! I help organise the FollyFest Fringe events, giving people of all ages the chance to get involved, try new activities, and enjoy new experiences at FollyFest!

I moved to Faringdon in 1995 from the south coast, and it quickly became home. Faringdon is a very special place with a real sense of community, which is why I’m so proud to be part of the amazing FollyFest team, helping to bring this fantastic free festival to the town every year.

Since 2024, I’ve been keeping everyone fed and hydrated, as well as hopefully helping you find a few Christmas presents at the craft stalls! I started as Jane’s apprentice before taking over the role last year, and it’s been a real pleasure to be part of such a wonderful community event.

I can’t wait to see familiar faces and meet plenty of new ones at this year’s FollyFest! Come say hello!

I live in Faringdon and am a mum to three small children and I work as a CBT Therapist.  I joined the FollyFest committee in 2024 after many years of attending, working, being a groupie (my husband is part of a band that regularly plays) and thoroughly enjoying FollyFest!  You’ll probably see me all weekend, phone in hand capturing all the fantastic events for me to pop on socials.  Come and say hi!

I have lived here forever and am proud to have been part of the FollyFest Team for the past few years.   First and foremost, I’m a DJ but I have also been known to play the guitar so music of all genres has always been an absolute passion of mine.   Some people also know me for my love of all things LEGO, hence the DJ name Doctor Block.

I co-ordinate and run the Crown Courtyard DJ stage for the weekend, ensuring the sound and lighting are on point and the fog machines all blast when the DJs press the right buttons.

I also have a GCSE in building websites so I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to support such a fabulous event in the Faringdon calendar and look after the FollyFest website: FollyFest.org.uk

I’ve lived in Faringdon since 2013 and this is my second time on the committee having held the same role from 2016 to 2019.  Having had a few years to concentrate on other projects I rejoined the committee in 2024.

FollyFest is such a great event for the town and it feels great to be part of the team again.  My role is to ensure the event is managed in a safe manner, allowing everyone to enjoy the event without any worries. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there and having another successful FollyFest weekend!

I’ve lived in Faringdon since 2009 and have enjoyed seeing it thrive as a community which is large enough to have a decent offering of amenities, while at the same time being small enough to still feel welcoming and homely.  My wife and I have raised our children in the town and they have attended many FollyFest events with us over the years (often staying up way later than they should but loving the fun and safe atmosphere!)

FollyFest is a phenomenal occasion that we in Faringdon are lucky to be part of each year and which perpetuates this community feeling, so I was honoured to be asked to help out with the event and have enjoyed getting involved with planning for its ongoing success.

As the committee’s resident electrician, I have been asked to keep an eye on all things generator related, and to be ready to help out with anything which needs attention over the weekend.  Give me a wave if you see me messing around with the wires, although maybe stand back if my hair is standing on end!

I’ve lived in Faringdon since September 2017, having moved from Dubai.  On arriving, I wanted to get involved in the local community and have enjoyed being part of both the rugby club and FollyFest, alongside other local activities.  As a local resident, I’ve been proud to serve as Chief Steward for the last four years, with this being my fifth.  I enjoy being part of a festival that brings the town together, showcases the community and this fantastic town, and gives me the opportunity to work alongside the dedicated team of volunteer stewards who help make FollyFest such a success.
